Nyala Safari Lodge
Nyala Safari Lodge is a secluded oasis of tranquillity set amongst ancient Jackal-berry and Scotia trees on the banks of the Mohlabetsi River in South Africa’s Mohlabetsi South Nature Reserve, located deep in the heart of Balule Private Game Reserve and part of the legendary Greater Kruger National Park. Our facilities have been designed to offer you everything to make your African safari experience exceptional, from our fully equipped kitchen where meals are lovingly prepared for you to our indoor and outdoor dining areas, our cosy lounge and bar and our tempting splash pool surrounded by beautiful shade trees and rolling green lawn, all overlooking the seasonal Mohlabetsi, whose name means “sweet waters”. Services include self-catering (whole camp basis) or fully catered, with 2 exciting game drives per day.
Nyala Safari Lodge consists of five thatched chalets, known as rondavels, designed in the traditional way and can accommodate 10 guests comfortably at any one time. Constructed to be refreshingly cool in summer and warm in winter, the décor is designed to echo the wonderful colours and textures of the bushveld, with a hint of a bygone era.
Located on the banks of the seasonal Mohlabetsi River a short drive from Nyala Safari Lodge, Nyala Sands is the perfect retreat for extended families and groups of friends. The lodge has been likened to a family home, with its spacious and well-equipped kitchen at its heart. It’s here that the staff will prepare sumptuous meals for you throughout your stay, offering you the opportunity to dine in style, either inside or al-fresco style, outside on the deck. A well-stocked bar offers you the chance to sample a range of beverages, from the virtually traditional pre-dinner gin and tonic to a range of fine South African wines and locally brewed craft beer. Services include self-catering (whole camp basis) or fully catered, with 2 exciting game drives per day.
Nyala Sands chalets are tucked beneath a lush, shady canopy of trees, each with private decks overlooking the river and connected by raised walkways to our communal lounge and dining areas, a plunge pool and an expansive viewing deck – the perfect spot for pre-dinner drinks round a roaring log fire.
eKhaya Bush Villa
This stunning Villa is situated on Hoedspruit Wildlife Estate, close to the Kruger National Park. EKhaya is the ideal base from which to explore the many wonderful activities Hoedspruit and its surrounding area have to offer. Each of our six double rooms have been beautifully decorated using textiles, furnishings, artefacts and fittings sourced sustainably from around South and Southern Africa, supporting local artists, artisans and entrepreneurs where possible. And our villa itself has been designed to have as low an impact on our fragile environment as we can manage, with energy and water saving our priority.
eKhaya Bush Villa is all about immersing yourself in the warm hospitality and traditions of one of South Africa’s most appealing safari destinations in the Limpopo Province. The blend of colonial and traditional African styles has inspired a wonderfully interwoven decor palette which offsets the beautiful scenery around the villa.
